PosseCast: NFL Lines Week 9

November 4th, 2009 by Rogersworthe | No Comments | Filed in PosseCasts

In a special hour-long edition I am joined by Lando, The Meena, and my 13 year old brother Theodore to pick the Week 9 games against the spread. We start it off with Lando blasting the Browns and saying they deserve to be disbanded followed by a very weak defense from The Meena. Then, after reviewing Week 8 which led to my AMAZING Norv Turner impression (Lando even recommended I patent it), we all three move on to picking the Week 9 games against the spread.

After we pick all the games, The Meena lays out his complaints against Madden 10 and I come back at him and defend Madden 10 for being the best Madden game to date.

I then finish off the podcast by interviewing my 13 year old brother Theodore and let him pick NFL games against the spread. Keep in mind, he knows absolutely nothing about football. If you want proof, listen to his response when I ask him, “Do you know who Peyton Manning is?”

So, sit back and enjoy this intense, orgiastic, 3 way sandwich of a podcast.

Madden 2010 Review: BUY IT IF YOU LOVE FOOTBALL (and own a game system)

August 27th, 2009 by Rogersworthe | 3 Comments | Filed in Madden

So I, like many other crazy kids out there, bought Madden the first day it came out. I have been playing it fairly frequently and so have now played it enough to make a fairly good review of it. As I am not good writing things chronologically, I will use my typical review style of using bullet points while going with random thoughts on the game:

Pros

  • Graphics: The graphics are not a major upgrade over Madden 09 in just standstill shots, but they certainly are an upgrade in on field action. The tackles, the movement of players, the overall speed of players looks more realistic.

Not only does Vince look realistic, he is rated realistically at 68. Pretty accurate, in my opinion.

Five ideas to make the offseason more interesting

July 29th, 2009 by Spizz | 2 Comments | Filed in Off-season Boredom, Random Thoughts

As a fan of the NFL, these past few weeks have made me so bored I wanted to pry my fingernails off with a bottle opener. I’m so desperate for something to happen that Terell Owens’s show actually held my attention. No fanbase should have to suffer this agony, so here are a few ideas I came up with that would spice up the offseason and stave off self-mutilation.

1. Mascot Death Match
Just imagine–a no-holds-barred professional mascot fighting league. It would be like cockfighting, but with a bunch of different types of animals, all of which are highly anthropomorphic. Ridiculous as this sounds, have you seen the WWE? It’s really not that far of a stretch.

Three rounds. No rules. No mercy.

2. More, better reality T.V. shows
The T.O. Show is a step in the right direction. I’m hoping that in a couple of years time, the NFL Network will have gone the direction of VH1, completely abandoning its original purpose to show reality shows about people on the fringe of being celebrities. “The Smash-n-Dashelorette”. “Survivor: O.J. Edition”. “Matty Ice Road Truckers”. “I Love (Shooting My Leg In) New York”. “Cock of Love (starring Travis Henry)”. The possibilities are endless.

Three more ideas and pictures of Jeff Garcia’s wife after the jump.

YouTube Video of the Week: Madden 2010 looks freakin’ awesome.

June 18th, 2009 by Spizz | 7 Comments | Filed in Madden, YouTube Video of the Week

In this early look at Madden 2010, the Titans take on the shit-winged Ravens in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs with a beautiful ending that I would have killed for in real life. I haven’t been this aroused by a video game since Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball. Make sure to watch in HD (button in lower right corner) in order to see the Digititans in their full glory.

More of T-Rac’s Posse’s expert analysis after the jump.
